Visitors' Choice: Hazel Ryder - Just to the Left of the Moon
Inspiration: Lost on a night time walk in Crete with my family, Dad, a Yorkshire man not known for his poetic words, confidently assured us that 'we are somewhere just to the left of the moon'. In the chaos of life, when I often feel lost, I try to remember this.
Techniques: Hand dyed cotton / silk fabrics and threads, discharged and painted imagery, free motion and hand quilting.
